Oniryx Oracle · Last updated 25 August 2026
Oniryx Oracle is a dream journal. This policy explains what it stores, where that data goes, and how to remove it. It describes the app as it actually works.
You can write and store dreams without creating an account. In that case the app signs you in anonymously and your dreams are stored against an anonymous identifier that is not linked to your name or email. An account is required only for the AI reading feature (the Oracle).
| Data | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Dream text and titles | The journal itself | Google Firebase (Firestore) |
| Dream date, word count, tags | Journal, calendar, search | Firestore |
| Voice recordings | Transcription only | Firebase Storage — deleted immediately after transcription completes |
| AI readings | Shown on the dream | Firestore |
| Email, name, avatar | Sign-in, if you create an account | Clerk |
| Language and last-used lens | App preferences | Your device only — never uploaded |
When the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a diagnostic report so we can fix it: the error and where it happened, your device model and operating system version, and an app-generated installation identifier. These reports never contain your dreams, your email, or your name.
To transcribe audio and produce readings, the text of your dream is sent to third-party AI providers. We want to be plain about what that means: these providers may retain and use submitted content to improve their own services, including review by their staff. We use their standard tiers and cannot contractually prevent this. If you would rather a dream never leave our systems, do not request an AI reading for it — the journal itself works without one.
Your dreams are never sold, never shown to other users, and never used for advertising.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data under Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We extend the following to everyone, wherever you are:
Legal basis. We process your dreams to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract, LGPD art. 7 V / GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Sending a dream to an AI provider happens only when you request a reading, on the basis of your consent (LGPD art. 7 I / GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withhold simply by not requesting one.
International transfer. Our providers operate outside Brazil, including in the United States, so requesting an AI reading transfers that dream text internationally.
Controller. Oniryx Oracle is operated by Rafael Beznos, an individual (no company registration). For any request under this section, write to the contact address below; we answer within 15 days.
Oniryx Oracle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
The Oracle's readings are reflective interpretations for personal insight. They are not therapy, diagnosis, or medical advice.
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the new version will appear here.
